New Day, Inc is a Christian ministry to at-risk children, youth, marriages, and families. New Day is located in Johnstown, Pa. with branch offices in Windber, Somerset, and Altoona, Pa. New Day's purpose is to provide programs which meet spiritual, emotional, social and life-skill development needs in the lives of those with whom it works. New Day draws its purpose from the mission statement of Christ in Luke 4:18-19 ("The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.") and believes that a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ is the only way to meet the deepest needs of individuals.

Founded in 1978 by Rev. Noah Martin, New Day is a private, non-profit, charitable organization that serves Cambria, Somerset and Blair counties and nearby communities.

New Day provides a wide variety of programs to minister to the needs of the total family unit. Those programs include but are not necessarily limited to individual, marriage and family counseling; Operation Daybreak (a one-to-one mentoring program for children and youth from one-parent, low-income families); camping and retreats; youth programs including Bible studies, social skills training, recreation, and a sports program; after-school programs; parenting classes and groups; and marriage enrichment classes and seminars.

New Day, Inc.'s Executive Director is the Rev. Jack Rupert. Rev. Rupert has been active with New Day since 1980. He started as a volunteer mentor and served as Administrator for many years. He was named Executive Director in 2002.  Rev. Rupert and his wife Sally are the parents of three grown boys.
